EMATS West is fully equipped to handle any archeological survey under any conditions. We can execute the entirety of Section 106 of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1966 compliance. From survey to excavation to reporting to consultation. Our lead qualified archaeologist (University of Montana) has 7+ years of experience in archaeology, primarily within the Mountain West and internationally. EMATS west also can develop our own spatial data using Trimble and Survery123 software. After the survey is completed, our engineers can also provide you with all types of GIS products, including creating digital maps and analyzing collected spatial data.
GIS
Our services also include any need for Geographic Information System (GIS) assistance. EMATS is prepared to handle any job you require. Our GIS capabilities go beyond archaeological survey. They include environmental protection projects, natural resource management, logistic planning, and urban development. We have a valid GIS certification and work within any ESRI software. 811 services – “Call Before You Dig” – can be provided by our staff of certified line locators. Whether you just need a one-off spot locate or an entire interstate pipeline system defined our dedicated staff can respond. EMATS has performed line locating services for over 25 years and have collectively cleared 500,000+ tickets without incident. Our safe and professional staff have logged over 7 million safely driven miles in support of 811 tickets for such clients as major interstate pipelines; natural gas gathering and transportation systems; Drilling companies; Local Distribution Companies; Federal Agencies and State DOTs; Counties, Cities and Municipalities; Developers and private landowners.
